ICPO Supports 30 Children in Rubavu with School Materials and Basic Needs

Written By Life Link

On 5th September 2025, ICPO (Integration of Children Post-Prison Organization) supported about 30 children under our program as they prepare to begin school on 8th September 2025. Some of these children have completed three years in the program, while others are just beginning—but all share the same need for care and support to thrive in society.

To ensure they are not a burden to the families hosting them, ICPO provided:

  • Schooling materials and school bags

  • Mattresses and basins

  • Hygienic materials and soaps

  • Food rations

  • Other basic necessities

This initiative took place in Rubavu District, where ICPO continues to serve children whose mothers are in prison, as well as those who have been reintegrated from juvenile facilities.

“Our mission is to ensure every child has the opportunity to learn, grow, and feel supported—no matter the challenges their families face,” said the ICPO team during the event.

ICPO is committed to expanding this support to children in other districts in collaboration with families, organizations, and partners who share the same vision.
